Welcome - We have a little story. 

Meet Diesel - A little Silky x Mini Poodle with a big attitude. He's my mate and he's a good boy!

In 2017 we were fortunate enough to move to an area with plenty of nature, but the property had no grass! All pathways, garden and scrub. And it was the height of tick season. In less than a week, we'd pulled three ticks off him. The only place he had to pee was the tick ridden garden! Eeek! 

We needed a pet potty and fast!

With years of experience in the construction industry, I dusted off the tools and set to work. And this is the hurried result.

An oversized double turf megalith made out of untreated pine studs, old low grade ply, placed on the front deck, outside and exposed to the elements. It worked. Diesel remained tick free. But...it only lasted a year or so (something I expected - raw timber subjected to wet soil and weather doesn't last long) 

That's where the journey started: What designs work best? What are the best materials? What finish makes the timber impermeable (hint: it's not paint)? Is it possible to keep the grass alive indefinitely? How long will the grass last? How to work with the microbes in the turf? What type of grass works best? Best maintenance methods? Easiest way to change out old grass for new? 

Fast forward to 2023, our product design has developed featuring Merbau, AS/NZS 22690.0 standards base with manufactured waterproof coating, our proprietary 3 stage urine, wet and dry dam system, internally our proprietary non-permeable, non toxic coating applied, externally sanded, and finished with oil based stain, wheels and handle. 

PuPPa-PP delivers functionality, product quality and ease of use in all conditions, like no other. It simply works!

Grass lifespan has been extensively tested, resulting in a 4 weeks recommended maximum duration before replacing with fresh turf.

Maintenance of the grass is simple, quick and easy, with best methods to change out the grass established.
